At the turn of the year 2025/26, Hamburg’s HafenCity hosted a large-scale New Year’s Eve celebration that was broadcast live on ZDF. The event was organized by the Hamburg-based agency Morgenwelt, which created a dedicated event area with modern infrastructure and comprehensive safety arrangements in front of the Westfield Überseequartier. A particular highlight of the event was a unique pontoon stage located on the Elbe, where an international lineup of artists performed. The stage design created an exceptional maritime setting that gave the show a distinctive visual identity. Thousands of visitors celebrated on site, while millions of viewers followed the New Year’s Eve broadcast on television.
